Things to do on the island

There’s plenty of ways to enjoy our island home, from long walks, beach days, vineyard tours, to relaxed lunches, but we just wanted to share a few of our other favourite ways to enjoy the island.

EVOO tasting

Pop into our island Tasting Room & Store at 56 Church Bay Road to learn about our approach to growing and milling world-class extra virgin olive oil on Waiheke Island. Enjoy a taste of our new season Allpress, Rangihoua Estate, number29 blend. Open seven days a week 10am – 3pm, and the tasting experiences are complimentary for all our guests.

  • Ananda Food & Wine Tours

    What better way to experience the island than with Ananda, Waiheke’s premium tour company. Offering personalised, flexible itineraries designed to showcase the best of the Island’s natural beauty, vineyards and art culture.

  • Connells Bay Sculpture Park

    The perfect way to spend a few hours. Explore a curation of 30+ sculptures by New Zealand artists and some amazing views during a 2km guided tour. Open from late October 2023 until early April 2024. Bookings are essential. Adult fee $30

  • Waiheke scenic flight tour

    Fly with Waiheke Wings to soak up some of the local beauty from above, including the local beaches, coastline, and vineyards with Rangitoto and Auckland CBD in the backdrop.

  • Zip line canopy

    Experience Waiheke from above, offering spectacular views of Waiheke’s native bush and even a working vineyard, home to 2,000 vines of Syrah.

  • Golf

    We do have a small course on the island. A 9 hole that can be turned into 18 with different tees.  The course is Par 72 and 5621 meters long. Suitable for non-golfers and those who are handy with a golf club. If you’re an avid golfer, there are plenty of amazing courses on the mainland. Get in touch and we can help arrange a day at one of these.

  • Discover the island by boat with by Sea

  • Terra and Tide

    Sail around the island on the 41-foot catamaran Pacific Starwith Terra and Tide, or explore further afield, enjoy lunch onboard and a nature walk. Or, if you would like a guided nature walk on the island, they can host a private tour with a pickup from your home.

  • On the Hunt Fishing Charter

    Easily the best fishing charter on Waiheke. Spend a day out on the water with skipper Leon catching kingfish, snapper and all sorts. Veteran or novice you’ll have a great time.
