Recipe | Dark Chocolate Salt & Pepper Truffles

Try these for a rich, decadent and indulgent treat. If you prefer a firmer bite, keep in the freezer, or for a softer, fudge like texture, then the fridge is best.

Ingredients

½ cup sunflower seeds
½ cup almond meal
¼ cup cacao powder
1 TBS Allpress Olive Oil Peppery blend
1 TBS maple syrup
½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp cinnamon
7 medjool dates, stone removed, and soaked in hot water to soften
Dark chocolate to coat, with a sprinkle of flaky salt, and fresh ground pepper

Directions

In a food processor, whiz the sunflower seeds until they break down.

Add the remaining ingredients apart from the dates. While the processor is running, add the dates one by one.

Roll into bite sized balls (it helps to have slightly damp hands to prevent sticking).

Place in the fridge or freezer to set slightly.

Roll in the dark melted chocolate and finish with the salt and pepper
sprinkle.

Keep stored in the fridge.
